Current Work

Our work during the 2013-14 academic year will be on these projects:

Lenton Project

October 2013 - Present

Our doorstep surveying team visited residents living in areas of Lenton in Nottingham.

We ran doorstep surveys, listening events and interviewed households to find out the main issues that residents faced.

These have shaped our priorities for 2014, where we will be focusing on (more on these to follow soon):

  • Noise & Anti-Social Behaviour

  • Crime

  • Community Cohesion

You can find out our results below:

Lenton Boulevard Shops Research
January - March 2014

We'll be conducting short interviews with residents and visitors to the local shops on Lenton Boulevard about their shopping experience on the road.

We'll be working to help Enactus Nottingham set up a student-run social enterprise in one of the empty shops on the road - leaving a lasting positive future impact!

The results will also be shared with Nottingham City Councillors who are looking to regenerate the area and shape future retail plans for the street.

Street Reps Pilot

January 2013 - Present

Our results from the Lenton Project found that most students and non-students didn't see themselves as having any relationship with each other.

To tackle this we've launched a new scheme called 'Street Reps'. We are planning on recruiting students to liaise with the neighbours of the street they live on to discover and help solve any local issues.
